the reggia di Caserta is probably the most beautiful and majestic royal palace that was ever built. The palace has 1,200 rooms, 34 staircases and 1742 windows. It includes 4 yards and thousands of ambients, chapels, museums and theaters that hosted some of the greatest works of art seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
In the imposing park, along the central avenue about two miles long that leads through moving sculptures, geometric hedges, flower meadows, colorful flowerbeds and games of water to a big waterfall called Fountain of Diana. Not far from Caserta is possible to see the important historical, artistic and archaeological stes of Capua, Santa Maria Capua Vetere e Sessa Aurunca.

a place of great interest with a unique story behind them: during the Bourbon period in 1778, the hunting lodge of the Belvedere was transformed into a palace-spinning mill around which grew the Royal Colony of San Leucio, a huge village populated by workers who producing high-quality silk. The site became known as one of the early experiments of the Enlightenment-style socialism and utopistic thanks to the egalitarian laws, the regulations and rules of working life that the workers were able to impose to themselves.
Today you can visit the Belvedere Palace, the Arco Borbonico e il silk museum.
